Annapurna

Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek

A short Annapurna classic for sunrise over Dhaulagiri and Annapurna from Poon Hill.

Poon Hill is the introduction we suggest for families and first-time trekkers. The walking is steady, the villages are lively, and the sunrise is the reason people come back to Nepal for longer routes.

Combine it with Pokhara and the daily bus so the whole trip stays simple.

Poon Hill (3,210 m) is a 1–1.5 hour climb from Ghorepani for a classic Annapurna and Dhaulagiri sunrise. The loop from Nayapul through Ghandruk or Ulleri is about 40–50 km over 4–5 walking days — moderate grade, teahouse lodging, and ABC-area permits as required.

Yes. It is the most approachable overnight trek we run, as long as you are fine with stone steps.
